The Act of Goodness:  On October 18, 2013, Darnell Barton, a Buffalo, New York bus driver was driving a bus full of passengers on the 198 Expressway overpass when he spotted a woman on the wrong side of the guard-rail. She was holding onto the railing, leaning forward and seemed ready to jump. What happened next is a heart-warming and truly inspirational story that demands re-telling over and over and over again.

The story behind the story: Darnell says two days before saving the woman on the bridge he made a statement at church during a group session he was facilitating. He said, “I don’t feel that I’m prepared.” After saving the woman two days later Darnell said, “That was a lesson for me. God made it cleared he prepared me.”

“Part of me said, ‘Keep going because you have a job to do.
But when I saw what was happening, I couldn’t.
Getting downtown on time no longer mattered.
Helping her, saving her, getting her on the right side of the bridge,
meant absolutely everything.”
